Blended Learning - First For Safety

NEW PROGRAM! In response to concerns around physical distancing we are excited to now offer a program that meets the same regulatory requirements for first aid & CPR/AED training in a new blended program. Our WSIB-approved blended learning program is a 2-step process to complete the full 3-year WSIB-Approved certification.

STEP 1 - COMPLETE THE ONLINE THEORY Combining multi-media knowledge through self-paced interactive modules, participants access learning at their convenience. Each module requires students to successfully answer 4 out of 5 questions to proceed to the next module. A temporary proof of training is provided once successfully completed and gives participants until September 30th, 2020, to schedule and complete their in-class training for full recertification.

Wanting to take the online theory for personal interest? No problem, please email us for more details at training@firstforsafety.ca.

STEP 2 - ATTEND AN IN-CLASS SKILLS SESSION Following the completion of the online theory, participants are required to attend the in-class portion of the course. These in-class skills sessions led by a Canadian Red Cross Instructor are focused on the practical skills such as performing CPR, how to correctly use an AED, and so on. Participants gain hands-on experience in small group sessions without sharing equipment and in compliance with physical distancing mandates as we move forward. Students then complete their training with a multiple-choice knowledge evaluation which assesses both online and practical learning.

The Blended Program in its completion meets legislation requirements for provincial worker safety and insurance boards (WSIB in Ontario) for all workplaces/sites and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
