First For Safety is a Training Partner for the Canadian Red CrossCourses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) skills and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children and babies (Level C). Course includes the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of the latest AED technology supported by research-based practices.

COURSE CONTENT: Content includes chapters in The Red Cross, Responding to Emergencies Check Call Care, Recovery Position, Choking, Assisting with Medications, Heart Attack and Angina, Stroke and TIA, CPR and AED, as well as Deady Bleeding.


  • CPR Level C (Infant, Child, Adult), or
  • HCP (Health Care Provider)

RECERTIFICATION: Recertification is valid for 3 years from date of issue with the Canadian Red Cross. Recertification may be completed at any time within the expiry date of an original certification. Many educational programs and workplaces require more frequent recertifications of the CPR/AED Level HCP in particular.


  • Successfully demonstrate skills and critical steps
  • Min. 75% mark for written knowledge evaluation
  • Attend and participate in 100% of the course

CPR Level must be determined upon registration. Though please contact the training office with any changes.

For CPR/AED training without first aid, please be prepared to stay until 5 PM at the latest, though our Instructors make every effort to get you through all the training requirements by mid-afternoon.
