First For Safety's Propane Handling Safety training program is taught by a Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) accredited instructor. The TSSA is responsible for overseeing the safety standard for fuel in Ontario which is then enforced by the Ministry of Labour. In Ontario, workers who use propane powered equipment, are responsible for storing, handling or transporting propane, as well as those working in the area where propane equipment is being used are required to be trained. Employers are responsible for ensuring that relevant regulations are complied with, including ensuring the proper training, providing safe and certified equipment and personal protective equipment, and proper supervision.
