BLENDED LEARNING FOR CANADIAN RED CROSS PROGRAMS - Online Learning Followed by In-Class Skills Sessions

We're excited to be offering blended learning in response to current restrictions that supports those who want to take the time to start or update their first aid & CPR/AED skills. Blended learning combines online learning modules (for a temporary proof of training) which is then followed by in-class Skills Sessions led by an instructor for hands-on experience and full certification. These Skills Sessions simply need to be completed prior to September 30th, 2020, to obtain your full WSIB-approved certification for work and educational program purposes. See our course calendar for ongoing start dates!

We are continuing to follow the requirements outlined in Ontario and recommended by the Canadian Red Cross and government by suspending all in-class training. As soon as it is safe to return to in-class training with physical distancing considerations, we will do so! We recognize the challenge these postponements place on those needing training for professional and education requirements and deadlines, as well as those respecting expiry dates. We are working to offer flexibility in these areas and want to assure you that each registration will be given respectful consideration and support in rescheduling based on your unique needs.

FIRST AID & CPR/AED: The Canadian Red Cross in partnership with WSIB have extended expiry dates that lapsed from March 5, 2020 to September 30th, 2020. This means that if your certification expires during this time frame please consider it valid until you complete further training or until September 30th, 2020.

WORKING AT HEIGHTS: The Ministry of Labour has extended expiry dates and training requirements for programs such as the IHSA's Working At Heights course that we offer. Once able, we will resume with those needed full as well as refresher training at no consequence to the expiry date until further notice.

Currently all course registrations from mid-March through to the end of April have been entered into a spreadsheet for rescheduling. Once training is resuming (albeit with smaller class sizes and other safety considerations), we will be in touch to reschedule your training. We will start with those who had already secured their spots with payment, and then move to the others. We appreciate the depth of your understanding and patience as we move through this process. Should you have any questions or concerns, please email me and kindly have patience in awaiting a response. We are currently running with limited staff and working hard to supply our communities with much-needed COVID-19 related safety supplies.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding! We truly look forward to working with you again soon. View our courses and find out more about what we offer below .
