Changes to Blended Programs (Online Modules + In-class)
Effective March 1, 2024, our Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR/AED Blended programming has some changes. Blended programming includes online learning modules that vary by course and are required to be completed prior to attending a scheduled in-class Skills Session.
1) We will no longer be offering a blended program for Recertification of Standard First Aid & Level 'C' CPR/AED. This course can be completed within the expiry of a certification. Our calendar for these dates can be found on our website: https://www.firstforsafety.ca/service.php?id=8
2) The in-class Skills Session for Standard First Aid & Level 'C' CPR/AED Certification through the blended programming is changing from a half day (9am to 1pm) to a full day (9am to 5pm). The online modules remain the same at an approximate 6-to-8-hour time commitment depending on participants' familiarity with the content. Overall, this remains a convenient way for many individuals to complete the training.
Blended Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C)
Approximately 3-4 hours; Must be completed prior to attending skills session
Time from 9am to 1pm
Blended Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C)
Approximately 6 to 8 hours depending on familiarity with content; Must be completed prior to attending Skills Session
Time from 9am to 5pm (Lunch break hour from 12:30pm)
