Babysitter Course - Canadian Red Cross

First For Safety is a Training Partner for the Canadian Red Cross


The Canadian Red Cross has revised the Babysitter´┐Żs Course program to include more emergency first aid response content! Additional content taught ONLY at First For Safety includes what you need in a first aid kit, how to use a fire extinguisher with hands-on practice, internet safety, and more.


PREREQUISITES: Between 11 and 13 years of age at time of course


PLEASE BRING: Snacks, water bottle, pencil case and a paper notebook.


COURSE CONTENT:

  • How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership
  • How to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviours
  • Information on children's developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage
  • How to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies
  • How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours
  • First aid skills
  • The business of babysitting


PRICING: $75 +HST per Participant. Please note payment is required to confirm registration, please call for details.


INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS:

  • Canadian Red Cross Babysitter Manual
  • Course Workbook with printables for use in your babysitting jobs
  • Certificate of Completion

While registration can be made online, payment is required to confirm a spot in the course. Payment options are sent upon receipt of registration.
