Babysitter Course - Canadian Red Cross
The Canadian Red Cross has revised the Babysitter's Course program to include more emergency first aid response content! Additional content taught ONLY at First For Safety includes what you need in a first aid kit, how to use a fire extinguisher with hands-on practice, internet safety, and more.
PREREQUISITES: Between 11 and 13 years of age at time of course
PLEASE BRING: Snacks, water bottle, pencil case and a paper notebook.
COURSE CONTENT:
- How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership
- How to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviours
- Information on children's developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage
- How to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies
- How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours
- First aid skills
- The business of babysitting
PRICING: $75 +HST per Participant. Please note payment is required to confirm registration, please call for details.

- Canadian Red Cross Babysitter Manual
- Course Workbook with printables for use in your babysitting jobs
- Certificate of Completion
