CPR/AED Only (no first aid in this course) course focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) skills and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children and babies (Level C). Course includes the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of the latest AED technology supported by research-based practices. Please note this course alone does not meet WSIB Requirements for Ontario Workplaces as it does not include first aid training.
COURSE CONTENT: Content includes chapters in The Red Cross, Responding to Emergencies Check Call Care, Recovery Position, Choking, Assisting with Medications, Heart Attack and Angina, Stroke and TIA, CPR and AED, as well as Deadly Bleeding.
CPR LEVELS:
- CPR Level C (Infant, Child, Adult), or
- CPR Level A (Adult only) as requested
CERTIFICATION: Certification valid for 3 years; Recertification may be completed within the expiry date of an original certification and is again valid for three years from date of issue.
COMPLETION:
- Successfully demonstrate skills and critical steps
- Min. 75% mark for written knowledge evaluation
- Attend and participate in 100% of the course

Comprehensive Guide to First Aid & CPR (eBook), Standard FA Certificate, Classroom copy of the CRC First Aid Manual to borrow during course, Certificate of Completion and Training Record for Employers (available upon request).
